The Pillar Room
A unique venue in the heart of Dublin city
The Pillar Room offers a unique experience in the center of Dublin, located as it is on the grounds of the Rotunda Hospital and adjacent to the Gate Theatre. Originally built in 1785 and designed by Frederick Trench, the Pillar Room has a classical appearance with magnificent pillars running along the length of the ballroom. There is a raised balcony at one end and the highly ornate, 20ft high ceiling is illuminated by three central chandeliers.
